IXLA General Overview
Get a head start and review our onboarding material! This will get more insights on how IntersectLA works and what your expectations are!

Contribute and Be Involved
After shadowing and learning the process at IntersectLA, you should know how to use our tools and feel comfortable reaching out to your buddy! Additional Note: Buddies are a great way to get started but if you have ANY quesitons, feel free to reach out to staff & faculty.
By this time, you should be aware of your roles & responsibilities on the team. Congrats on making it this far! It’s important to take time to reflect and get to kow your strengths and weaknesses. Connect with our faculty to see how you’re doing and any potential opportunities to become a part of the members.
Leading A Project (2 Months)
It’s time to lead 1-2 projects to put the skills you learned into practice. From leading a client meeting, emailing clients, and managing a team – these are all real world skills that will help you succeed and become a better creative strategist. Here is a Project Management Guide that can aid your success in becoming a Project Lead.
Additional Note: If you are unavailable to lead more projects – please communicate with faculty & staff
Compensation is available for students that are heavily committed ( approx. 15-20 hours outside of classwork). This is all dependent on your level of comittment and agreement with Faculty.
Expectations & Requirements
Monthly Presentations
Mandatory All Hands Production Meeting
Project Management
We want to start showing off our work and seeing everything that has been accomplished throughout the semester. We’re hoping that you can put a presentation together to demonstrate your efforts, successes, and challenges. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t be longer than 5 minutes! Here are some examples of past presentations.
Weekly stand up meetings are meant to for you to check in with the team, ask questions, and keep the project moving forward. This is typycally when we ask for designers. videographers, or anyone with a diverse background to help with a project. These are important for maintaining good communication with the client, your team, and keeping track of tasks that need to be completed.
